Life Groups

What’s The Purpose?

Life Groups are about finding friends and growing spiritually. They are small groups of people who meet together for a specified amount of time in the Fall, Spring and/or Summer.

How Long Do They Last?

Life Groups normally meet for 10-13 weeks in the Fall and/or Spring. Some Life Groups meet 4-6 weeks in the Summer.

When and Where Do They Meet?

Life Groups primarily meet in homes, but can meet at any location, on any day, and at any time that’s conducive to the purpose of the group. Most of our Life Groups currently meet on Sunday or Wednesday evening.

What Kind of Groups Are Offered?

We have groups for men, women, couples, young adults, and students. Life Groups may be:

  • Topic or Book Based – using a specific church-approved curriculum to study a specific topic or book
  • Sermon Based – focusing discussion on the weekly message at Grace Fellowship
  • Needs Based – focusing on a specific area of need such as: a) Marriage, b) Parenting, c) Finances, d) Recovery
  • Activity based – groups that are service oriented and do things in our community
  • Affinity based – groups that form around a common interest such as: family adventures, hunting, fishing, golf, quilting, etc. etc.

Why is a Life Group so important?

Life Groups are important because they help you find friends and challenge you to grow spiritually. In addition to this, your primary care in our church family begins in your Life Group. In a large church we have to break things down into smaller components so we can more effectively meet the needs of people and challenge them to become all that Christ desires. Life Groups help accomplish this.
